Where to start?

Blog

Because of the recent website migration, I find myself with the opportunity to write again, specifically about game design. A lot of people write about games, game design, and what have you, and made me wonder what my voice could add to the conversation. I’m one of those people that tends to remain silent unless I feel I can add something. Twitter (X) never worked for me because by the time I’d seen anything posted, it was almost two days later and anything worth saying had already been said.

So what is there to say? I’m not sure, but I’m going to speak to some of my experiences in the hopes that someone else might find them helpful. And what better place to start than the beginning. So, I have some ideas for games, and will write about the exploration of developing those ideas. There was a time where I would end something like this with a pithy statement like, “Buckle up!” But, one of the nice things about game design, is that it doesn’t have to be intense. It is only as intense as you want it to be.

Dice or no dice, that is the question
